Storms a brewin...

Here it is, after about a month and a half of work it's finished....for now. forgive the quality, youtube is not best know for good quality videos, but it's enough. I'm planning on building upon this by the end of april so my loyal fan(s) will have that to look forward to. Well enjoy...and i would really like some comments on this one, let me know what you think :)

The perfect gift for everyone...

Our last storyboard assignment, I put a lot of time into the finish of this, probably longer than i should have, but it's finished...and a day early so that's a plus! Also thanks to Leanna for this idea!

Just plain crazy....

Our final animation of this semester. Single dialogue with acting, I think it turned out pretty nice. Stoked for next semester when I can do more...perhaps with my own characters, I think those will look much better on a reel, but it's a nice start. :)

And in this Corner....another layout!

The last layout I might produce for a while, It's a quaint little boxing gym (supposed to be around the 1930's)...and also a tonal sketch of the same layout. It's my first tonal sketch so don't be a tit about it, jk but still once I actually learn my way around the old tonal-ness it will be pretty.

4 months worth of life drawing...

After another semester (4 months) of life drawing, this is all i have to show. Here are my "best" gestures and poses from this year so far....yikes

Animation #5, This one was only a week assignment. Our first taste and facial acting.

Damn Button!

Animation number 4...and it's a big one (that's what she said). I timed out the poses and it was about 400 frames, after all was said and done it turned out to be 600 frames... go figure eh. I'm quite happy with it though, enjoy!

Weekly Illustration: Childhood Memory

NINJA TURTLES!!... who didn't see this coming. I think i had almost every toy when i was a kid even the technodrome, and I found all the original episodes on DVD so I can re-live my childhood everyday. I don't mind the new one on TV, they don't seem as characterized as the old show but they should have pupils, I think they'd seem more human and relate-able with pupils. anyway enjoy Michelangelo (no doubt the sweetest of the four)

Modern City...

Layout #3, a modern city. I put a lot of time into this (especially the clean-up), so with that said i have no problem saying I am very happy with how it turned out :)

This is inspired by "Wild Night - Van Morrision". It's obivously not finished and I don't like to post work that I am not finished with but in this case i have to. Sometime in the near future i will color it and make it sexy...but that takes time, so enjoy it for now.

This one was a doozy, everyone had a hard time with it so at least we all suffered together. I was not stoked on this one very much until i found out (once i was finished) from others that's it alright.**I might have warmed up to it near the end** but I suppose I was being too hard on myself, ah well it can always be better...anyway enjoy :)

Here we go, bout time eh. Anyway here is a first pass on characters from "The Big Lebowski". I'm going to animate them next semester in a two person dialogue assignment. I'm going for a very chunky UPA style...think Clerks, Clone High and sorta Stephen Silver style...ha ha dunno that's what i was aiming for, anywho don't be afraid to tell me what ya think :)

Pitch Party!

These are my two entries for a "Pitch party". Basically anyone who wants to can submit an idea(pitch) to Animation Magazines 2008 Pitch party; it will be published in August but everyone has to pay about $300. So Don (Capilano University's Commercial Animation program director) has arranged and paid for six spots in the magazine. A large group of us (students) are submitting entries and the six chosen ones will appear in the magazine... don't be a stranger, let me know what you think!

The Wallet

Here is my film for film class. I was forced to scrap the origional idea of a war epic so we had to storyboard as we shot it. It turned out pretty well, also sorry for the black box around it, my camera is crap. hopefully i can get a new one if we're going to make more films.

Why hello there... I feel like this blog is the child i'm always neglecting for beer and life and drawing...but I'm here now it's okay...I promise I'll be at your ball game...you have my word. Anyway here is my model pack for second semester...It's Circus Mafia! I wanted to do something either circus or mafia (they are both efin sweet) so i realised "why not combine them", this works in most situations, take for example PB and J sandwhiches or pizza...however be aware it may not always work with combinations such as cats and dogs or your girlfriend and her sister. I have some more work to finish and post later this week such as my layouts and animation...and if you eat your vegatables i might treat you to a short film :)

Here is my Quadraped animation for animation class, I'm not gonna lie I'm pretty stoked on it. I put a lot of time and thought into it and i'm quite happy with how it turned out :)

I am Mclovin

I love this movie, ha ha almost an unhealthy amount. I just couldn't resist cartooning these guys. If i get time i really want to make maquettes out of them, perhaps put them in my gradshow... :) Anyway, after a few months i finally finished this, it didn't take me long but I've been busy...enjoy!

Final animation for our special effects section. I wanted to it look really kick ass but it was a lot more work than i thought, I think when i get time I'll fix it up and finish it cause i want to put in on my demo reel.

The Demon Barber of Fleet Street...

I saw this movie the other day and i thought it was just brilliant. I'm a huge fan of Johnny Depp and a bigger fan of Tim Burton, The story was killer, characters were awesome and the ending was just poetic. Wasn't sure if the musical-ness was going to work but it just made the film even more unique...but anyway i was so inspired i had to draw the demon barber himself...Sweeney Todd. enjoy! (oh yeah Happy New Year)
